Shopping Mall Lover.Shopping Mall Lover. by Elaine I assume most of you read the letter my husband wrote about how we began our lifestyle so I'll start where he ended. As John told you I shopping a week ago last Tuesday. I had been at the mall for several hours and stopped at one of the fast food places in the mall for a soda. After paying for the soda I sat on one of the mall's benches and began to sip the drink while watching the shoppers duck in and out of the many small boutiques. Lost in my thoughts I didn't notice the man approach me and ask "Mind if I join you?". I guess my expression showed that this man's voice had startled me because when I looked up at him he said "I'm sorry to disturb you but the other benches are occupied." Unconsciously I glanced around and saw this was true. "No, not at all." I replied. "Thanks. My name's Bill. I really am sorry to disturb you. You must have been in deep thought." "Not really." I replied. "I don't think I had any particular thoughts on my mind." We continued our small talk and I learned that he was a salesman from a neighboring state and that he often traveled this area. He told me he was happily married and was at the mall to purchase a surprise gift for his wife. He even showed me pictures of his two children. |
